David and Karen

Candace shot the next 2 pictures;over exposed? Na, absolutely heavenly.
What can I say about this adorable couple! What a glorious day in the Garden. If only I had know about this place 17 years ago when my husband and I got married. OK. These are all introduction sentences to a lot of thoughts that go through my mind, all I know is I was in heaven for a day (3 hours) and with some of the best company around.
Well, let me tell you a little about this couple. The day I got the call from Karen, she was recovering from major reconstructive surgery from a double mastectomy, in October...all us girls know what that month is. My heart absolutely broke for her. She was so worried about how she would look in this dress and on her special day. Well, I think she looks gorgeous! What a celebration to have for her. What a beautiful day! I was in tears by the end. It was a dream come true for her and for me. She wanted a simple wedding, so I met David and Karen at this park that I have always wanted to shoot a wedding at. They fell in love with it instantly. David grows a lot of the exotic plants that are in this garden, so it just felt so right for them to say their vows here. The day we were viewing the garden, Karen saw beautiful hummingbirds flying around the red fire cracker plant that you see in these pictures. All these things just tie so many emotions together to make a spectacular day. I hope I didn't share too much Karen, you have come through so much. I thought everyone should know and not feel defeated if they are going through something so hard. Life is to be celebrated everyday!!!!

Smylie Family

So much to say, so little time. Just one of the families I have taken pictures for this season with a 3 year and 1 year old. High energy is a subtle way to describe them. I am happy to show these off to everyone, Scott is a Lawyer and Partner at Regent Law Firm and Nichole has just launched a business of her own with SendOutCards you can organize and order awesome cards through her http://www.nicholesmylie.com/ I promised nichole I would mention her business on my blog, being that it is the best time of the year to use her. Anyhow, we had an awesome session of our own and here are few pics to look at. I encourage everyone to look at Nichole's business and support her in this exciting endeavor. Especially if you have not ordered your christmas cards yet. I think everyone knows that I am not into product sales just wanting to be a photographer and history capturer. Hoping everyone's spirits are bright during this Holiday season.
